When I lived in London, I had afternoon tea twice. It wasn’t until I was in Scotland, however, that I had a proper afternoon tea at the Inverlochy Castle Hotel. I cannot recommend this place enough and if my pictures alone don’t sell you on the place – then you will just have to visit it for yourself!
How to get there:
We were based in Fort William, which is about an 8 minute drive to Inverlochy Castle Hotel, so it made it easy to get there. If you are coming from the opposite side of Fort William, just google maps it and it will take you straight there.
How much does it cost:
£45 per person for full afternoon tea and £60 per person for the pink afternoon tea (includes Rose). Or, you can opt for just tea + scones for £10.
Do you need to make reservations?:
We did, just because we weren’t sure how busy it was going to be. Better safe than sorry!
When we arrived to the beautiful castle, we were taken into the tea room which has this antique/vintage vibe. I immediately felt underdressed because of how nice this place was but it was an unforgettable experience. Best afternoon tea I’ve ever had!

It worth every penny. We split it between the two of us and it was plenty of food and drink! The full cost of their afternoon tea with VAT is £45. However, you can opt to get the ‘Pink Afternoon Tea’ which includes a bottle of Rose Champagne and is £60.
What’s Included?
The Afternoon Tea, for £45, consists of:
Selection of Sandwiches on White and Wholemeal Bread:
Roast Sirloin of Beef, Horseradish and Roquette Inverlochy Smoked Salmon, Avocado, Wasabi Cream Free Range Egg, Paprika and Spinach Honey Roast Ham, Celeriac Remoulade and Wholegrain Mustard Plain
Fruit Scones with Butter, Jam and Clotted Cream
Selection of Homemade Cakes and Desserts
Choose from our range of Ronnefeldt Teas or Loch Lomond Coffee

If you happen to be planning a trip to the Scottish Highlands, I can’t recommend this experience enough. From walking the grounds of the castle to the afternoon tea itself, it was such a delight and I would definitely go back.
